The role behind a coworking space (and how it helps you every day)
I’m a community manager at aSpace Aviatiei.
And honestly, this role is nothing like it seems at first.
Yes, I welcome visitors. I give tours. We talk about spaces, pricing, and what might suit them best.
But that’s just the beginning.
The first person you see (and the one you come back to)
Most of the time, I’m the first person you see when you walk in.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Over time, we get to know each other. It becomes natural — saying hi, exchanging a few words, just feeling familiar.
Maybe you have a question.
Maybe you need help.
Or maybe you just want to say “good morning.”
And that’s exactly where the difference begins.
It’s not just a space. It’s the people in it.

At some point, people stop being “tenants.”
A community starts to form.
We laugh, we talk. We help each other on tougher days and celebrate when things go well.
It’s that kind of vibe where we become more like office mates — with the good, the bad, lots of coffee, and conversations that make a busy day or a tense meeting a little easier.
And it’s not something you can force. It builds over time.
The small things that make a big difference
Beyond the front desk side of things, I’m involved in everything that keeps the space running.
Making sure every detail is in place.
Making sure any question or situation gets handled quickly.
Making sure people have what they need, without having to think about it.
But beyond what you see, there’s also a lot happening behind the scenes.
Things that need to be solved quickly.
Coordination with the building, suppliers, everything that keeps the space functioning.
The kind of work that doesn’t stand out — but makes all the difference.
Because when everything runs smoothly, it means everyone at aSpace can focus on what matters: good coffee, fast internet, a clean space, and a workday without unnecessary stress.
I build the community, not just manage it

Comunitate aSpace
Sometimes we organize sessions or small networking moments.
Other times, things just happen naturally.
A conversation over coffee.
A recommendation.
A “hey, you should talk to X.”
And suddenly, the space becomes more than just a place to work.
The truth?
It’s not just a job.
It’s a place you come to every day, where you see the same familiar faces.
Where you build relationships.
Where, without even realizing it, your routine starts to include more than just tasks.
And honestly… it would be hard to leave and know I’m leaving behind all the people I’ve spent so many days with and shared so many moments with.
Because they’re no longer just “members.”
It’s a community.
At aSpace, every location has a community manager

Across all 6 aSpace locations, there’s someone like me.
Someone who is there to:
- help
- organize
- connect people
- and create a space you actually enjoy coming to
The space brings you here. The people make you stay.
You can have the nicest office.
But without people, it’s just a place.
A community manager is there to make things work.
But more importantly, to make people feel good.
If you’d like to be part of a great community and have people like me (or my amazing colleagues) around, we’d love to have you in one of our locations.
We can’t wait to meet you 🙂
